Identify the asset precisely
Separate domain registrations, collectible usernames, ordinary social account names, and telephone service arrangements. Do not describe all of them as transferable property. The platform or provider determines which processes are available for the actual asset.
For domains, consult the ICANN transfer FAQs and your registrar. For other categories, use the official resources linked in the marketplace guide before creating an offer.
Do not offer a right you do not have
Confirm your administrative authority and any required approvals. A name appearing in an account you can access does not automatically settle the rights of a team, business partner, or other party.
If the relevant service does not permit the proposed transfer or resale, do not treat a workaround or password handoff as a substitute. Resolve the conditions before discussing a transaction.
Separate included and excluded components
Describe the exact spelling and any assets genuinely included. A website, customer data, logo, social following, or channel history should not be implied merely because it has a related name.
Keep private account information out of public descriptions. Provide a clear scope without exposing credentials, recovery details, or personal information that is unnecessary to understand the offer.
Use a documented, appropriate process
State the required transfer or assignment route, expected responsibilities, and recurring obligations where relevant. Do not invent availability, verified-buyer status, guaranteed transfer timing, or a valuation that has not been established.
For substantial or complex arrangements, seek qualified assistance with the agreement and applicable conditions. A clear process is more important than presenting the name as urgently scarce.
Plan the identity you keep
Before transferring a permitted asset, identify the public materials and services that still depend on it. Prepare a replacement contact or website path where appropriate, and update the places you control after the change.
